Washington, D.C. – Today, President Barack Obama signed the Veterans Health Care Budget Reform and Transparency Act into law today, a bill Senator Russ Feingold cosponsored to ensure funding for the VA is provided on a timely basis. Senator Feingold released the following statement:

“I am delighted that the president signed legislation to help make sure the VA gets the funding it needs, and gets it on time so our veterans don’t see needless delays or cutbacks in services.  I have long supported efforts to ensure adequate VA funding, which is why I cosponsored the bill the president signed into law.  Stopping these funding delays is an important step toward giving our veterans the support they have earned through their outstanding service to our country.”
